Why go to a
Sports Massage Therapist
-
Visit a sports massage therapist to keep your muscles and joints in good condition, either before or after physical activity.
-
A sports massage therapist can help you return to exercise after an injury. Differences in mobility and/or muscle mass may have developed between the left and right sides of your body, potentially leading to new problems.
-
Sports massage can help reduce unwanted muscle tension caused by stress or other factors.
-
A sports massage therapist can provide general advice on training load and your body’s capacity to handle it.
-
A sports massage therapist can support you during exercise with temporary sports tape or bandages.
What is the difference between sports & wellness massage?
-
Sports massage focuses on the musculoskeletal system - the muscles, tendons, and joints - using direct, hands-on techniques.
-
Wellness massage focuses more on mental relaxation and stimulates other senses as well.
Are the costs covered by health insurance?
-
Despite its clear preventive benefits, sports massage is not currently covered by health insurance.
How does an appointment work?
-
When coming in for a massage, it is best to arrive feeling relaxed and refreshed.
-
Your first appointment includes a brief intake to assess your physical capacity and the demands your sport places on your body.
-
If necessary, an assessment may be carried out and discussed with you. This includes a visual inspection and a hands-on assessment of the mobility of the joints.
-
Based on the findings, we will agree on a massage treatment with special attention to the problem area.
-
For the massage, you will undress down to your underwear. Men are advised to wear briefs, while women having a back massage are advised to wear a bra with a back closure.
-
The massage is performed using dermatologically tested, neutral oils.
-
Afterwards, you will be offered a glass of water and there will be time to discuss the treatment.
-
Payment can be made online, in cash or using a QR-code.
Privacy
-
The client file is retained for a minimum of two years, i.a.w. national. Its contents may be shared with a physiotherapist or doctor upon request, but never without the athlete's prior consent.
-
Personal data is stored with the utmost care and used solely for administrative purposes and communication with the athlete.
Complaints
